REEP Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization based in Dalung, has distributed medical equipment and Educational materials to some selected health facilities and schools in the Kumbungu District.
The gesture is aimed at improving access to the healthcare delivery system and expanding access to Education in the district.
The donation also forms part of efforts to curb the falling standards of education in the district as well as geared towards improving healthcare services among the health centers.
REEP-Ghana donated furniture to schools such as Simli Module School, Dahinsheli School Possibilities School, and Pong Tamale Senior High School.
Among the health facilities benefiting from the gesture include Navida Clinic, Sorigu CHPS Compound, Zugu Dabogni CHPS Compound, and Sokam Clinic. Among the medical items given the listed beneficiary health facilities included beds, rollator Wheelchairs, and springs.
Some selected young girls under the YOPP Program were also presented with Bicycles to facilitate their movement to schools.
The donations took place at Dalung in the Kumbungu District on Wednesday 5th March 2025.
Present for the awards, were Board Members of REEP-Ghana, Representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations, Elders of Dalung Palace, Teachers of the selected schools, and the students.
Handing over the items to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Executive Director of REEP-GHANA, Abukari Abdul Fataw, the Finance Administration Officer urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the items donated to them and should never misuse them as a team of volunteers from Denmark will later visit them to inspect the items given them.
The beneficiaries could not hide their delight over the donation, heaping praise on REEP-GHANA for the gesture done to them, assuring them to put it to good use.
