Medeama Sc clinch the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League titile in style and are set to pocket GHC 2 million Prize Money.

‎Medeama SC have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League after sealing the title with one match remaining in the season.

‎The Mauve and Yellow wrapped up the championship in emphatic fashion with an entertaining 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions. Their triumph was further confirmed after closest rivals Bibiani Gold Stars fell to a 3-1 defeat against Dreams FC.

‎The victory lifted Medeama to 62 points, putting them beyond the reach of their challengers and officially securing the league crown.

Reports indicate the Tarkwa-based club will receive a cash prize of GHC 2 million for their achievement.

‎This marks Medeama’s second Ghana Premier League title in four seasons, adding to their historic maiden triumph during the 2022/23 campaign.

‎On Friday, May 15, 2026, the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), together with members of the Black Stars Management Committee, paid a visit to the National Mosque at Kanda for a solemn Islamic prayer session in support of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

‎The delegation was warmly received by the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, whose prayers, blessings, and continuous guidance remain a source of inspiration and encouragement to both the team and the nation.

‎Speaking during the visit, GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku expressed profound gratitude to the Chief Imam and the Muslim community for their unwavering spiritual support for Ghana football.

‎“I extend my sincere appreciation to His Eminence and the Muslim community across Ghana for their continuous prayers, support, and commitment to the success of the Black Stars and Ghana football. Your steadfast spiritual backing motivates us as we work collectively to make our nation proud on the world stage at the FIFA World Cup,” he said.

‎The prayer session formed part of efforts to rally national support and unity behind the Black Stars as preparations continue toward the global showpiece.
