The Managing Director of Ghana Lottery Authority, Mohammed Abdul Salam Gulbia, has pledged to donate 50,000 Ghana Cedis to the Gbewaa Palace reconstruction project through NLA’s Good Causes foundation as his contribution to the Dagbon Redevelopment project.
He pledged when he paid a courtesy call to the Ya-Na, Abukari II at the Gbewaa Palace as part of his regional tour to the Northern Regions, aimed at strengthening Regional operations and deepening staff engagement.
The Overlord of Dagbon, in return, offered his blessings and wise counsel to the Managing Director of NLA.
Mr. Abdul Salam’s Post on Facebook, today indicated that, “I also paid a courtesy call on the Ya-Na at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, where I pledged GHC 50,000 through the NLA’s Good Causes Foundation to support the palace’s rebuilding. The Ya-Na offered his blessings and wise counsel”.
As part of the Regional tour, the NLA boss visited offices in Tamale, Wa, and Bolgatanga to introduce himself, understanding firsthand operations, and listen to the concerns of the team manning the offices.
Among the key issues discussed included staff welfare, logistics, and the pressing challenge of unregistered Private Lotto Operators.
According to Mr. Abdul Salam, the insights gathered will inform the efforts of NLA to boost productivity and enhance the Authority’s impact.
In his visit to Bolgatanga, the MD of NLA met with the Regional Minister of the Upper East Region, who pledged support to secure land for a permanent NLA office.

As part of my commitment to strengthening regional operations and deepening staff engagement at the NLA@national.lottery.authority, I began a regional tour of our Northern Sector offices on Tuesday, 20th May. I visited our teams in Wa, Tamale, and Bolgatanga to introduce myself, understand their operations firsthand, and listen to their concerns.
Key issues discussed included staff welfare, logistics, and the pressing challenge of unregistered Private Lotto Operators. The insights gathered will inform our efforts to boost productivity and enhance the Authority’s impact.
