The under 15 girls league which was the first to be organised in the history of Ghana football saw 8 teams across the length and breadth of the region participating in the maiden campaign.
Dakpema ladies SC,Northern Queens,Oxford ladies,Rising Stars FC,Dakpema FC,Talented ladies, Vision FC and Future ladies but Dakpema ladies Sc showed their supremacy by amassing 42 points with 84 goals scored conceding none,
With Northern Queens being runners up with 28 points and Future ladies sitting at the bottom of the table with 5 points.
The northern regional football association NRFA , awarded Dakpema ladies Sc with a trophy,30 gold medals and a cash amount,whilst Noble ladies also received a trophy,30 gold medals and cash after emerging as champions in Division 1B.
The RFA chairman used the platform to thank the Northern Regional Football fraternity and stakeholders for making the inaugural edition a success.
Madam Jennifer Amankwa Sarpong,womens Football development manager at the GFA, on her part congratulated the Northern Regional Football Association for their initiative to commenced the U15 league and says it will help bridge the gap between the male and female football in Ghana.
She anticipate GFA president will support any Regional Football Association who takes this sort of steps.
The RFA’s Coordinator at the GFA, Mr. Dasebre Adu Asare has nothing shor but praises to the NRFA for their uprightness to organise the u15 league and also assured all football Districts in Ghana to be ready for the upcoing U-15 and 17 league games for boys and girls.
Meanwhile,Dakpema Ladies Sc ,Oxford Ladies and Northern Queens have all been promoted to the RfA women’s Division 1B league.
