The Head Coach of Steadfast FC, Abukari Mohammed popularly known as Aquaye has stepped down from his role after his side failed to gain qualification to the Division One.
His resignation takes immediate effect from today.
Steadfast painfully lost 2-1 to Sakara Nationals at the grand finale of the Northern Regional Division Two League Finals played on Saturday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
This defeat means that Steadfast FC would still wallow in the 3rd tier of Ghana Football, signaling embarrassing spectacles for the club.
For admission of failure, the Coach of the side has announced his resignation from the cub with immediate effect.
A full statement of Coach Aquaye’s Resignation
I write to formally resign from my position as Head Coach of Steadfast Football Club, effective immediately.
This decision follows my inability to achieve the objective of qualifying the team for the Division
One, a responsibility I wholeheartedly embraced. After careful reflection, I believe it is in the best interest of both the club and myself to step aside and allow new direction and leadership for the team.
I am deeply grateful to the Management, Technical Team, Players, Supporters, and more
especially my master, Hon Haruna Iddrisu, for the trust and opportunity given me to serve. It has been an honor to lead this great club.
I remain a committed member of Steadfast FC and wish the team great success in all future
endeavours
