The Northern Regional Communications Team Member of NDC and Lecturer at Tamale Technical University, Abdul Jalil Bawah Yakubu, has tipped Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, to lead the NDC with Ato Forson as the Running Mate going into the 2028 elections.
According to the Lecturer, in the absence of John Dramani Mahama in the next major elections on the ballot, Haruna-Ato Forson’s ticket will retain the NDC in power beyond 2028.
Commenting on the Polls conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, which put Haruna Iddrisu in a slim lead in the NDC Presidential race as the subject of Discussion on Sagani TV’s Weekend Political show, dubbed ‘Dakulo Gbana’, Mr. Abdul Jalil Bawah advocated for the Haruna-Ato Forson ticket as the sure bet to defeat the NPP on the streak.
In a latest survey released by Global InfoAnalytics, the Tamale South Legislator, is a Frontrunner with 27 percent of the polls conducted. While the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, follows closely with 26 percent in the polls.
Other potential Candidates like Ato Forson, Julius Debrah, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa garnered 22%, 11%, and 8%, putting others on 3%.
Against this backdrop, the TaTU’s Lecturer who had risen to Professorial status in the University, in his personal view asserted that the duo is easily marketable with overriding charismatic features coupled with their vast knowledge in governance and economy can secure them victory in 2028, emphasizing that a succession plan should consider such proposal for the good of the NDC.
