Veteran NPP Northern Regional Communicator, Alhaj Kaleem Ibrahim has officially declared his intent to run for NPP Northern Regional Deputy Secretary position, submitting himself to the Kingmakers of the Party in the Region for consideration when the time is due.
In his Facebook post on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, Alhaj Kaleem pleads with the delegates to give him the mandate to serve them through the party, counting on his years of experience, lessons and inspiration drawn from Key Figures of the Party, including the late Vice President, Alhaj Aliu Mahama, Alhaji Salifu C.O.P, Dr. Amin Adam Anta, Mustapha Hamid and Musah Superior among others as his driving force to lead the people.
According to the Veteran Communicator, NPP cannot afford to lose the 2028 elections, hence, require committed people of his caliber to be at the Frontline of the party at the every stage including at the Polling Station level to wrestle power from the NDC.
“The party can’t afford to lose the 2028 election hence need to parade committed people from the polling station level to the presidential candidate. Power is the only solution we need come December 2028”.
This will be the seventh time Alhaj Kaleem will be vying for position within the NPP, failing on his previous six bids, all because delegates had not deemed fit to give him the mandate. However, he is upbeat the narrative will change to his favor this time around.
Below is his statement of intent.
The courage I have in this game gave birth to the motto Fight Fight Until Victory. I actively joined this family way back in 1992. I learned the game through many senior comrades such as Alhaji Abdullah Hindu, Alhaji Arimiyaw, Alhaji Mahammud, Hon Musah Superior, Hon Dr Amin Anta, Hon Mustapha Hamid, Alhaji Abubakari Sadik, Alhaji Yussif Challo, Alhaji Jandu Alhaji Baba Kadiago, etc. Then I also had many blessings from Alhaji Salifu C O P. Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Mr Ntim, Nba Shirazu Gbarigu, Alhaji Mahamadu Boroboro Lana, Hajia Fati Wabgu, etc.
The above-mentioned personalities were the people who taught us this game. I tried six (6) consecutive times to play a leadership role in the party but failed absolutely. This is going to be my seventh attempt hence I am pleading to the kingmakers of the party(Delegates) to consider me this time around for me to implement what I learned from the above-mentioned gallant patriot to the benefit of the party rebuilding process. By the way, if you assess me and I can’t do the work I am seeking for do not vote for me. Please Delegates try to assess everyone who is seeking for position before giving out the power. The party can’t afford to lose the 2028 election hence needs to parade committed people from the polling station level to the presidential candidate.
