Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, CEO of Dasuma Radio, has made a passionate appeal to well-meaning Dagombas to support the Dasuma Radio Soccer Clan Tournament, the biggest football competition in Dagbon.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 6th edition on December 30, 2024, at the Yendi Astro Turf, Alhaji Daney said
“I’ve been the sole sponsor of this tournament through Dasuma Radio since its inception in 2019. It’s been a challenging but rewarding experience. However, the competition’s growth has led to increased expenditures, and I urge corporate bodies, NGOs, telecoms, and all well-meaning Northerners and Dagban Bilchin Nima to support this worthy cause.”
Alhaji Daney’s appeal aims to ensure the tournament’s continuation and growth, promoting unity and development through sports in the Dagbon community.
In the 6th edition, defending champions Lungsi clan in Yendi once again emerged as the champions of the 2024 Dasuma Radio clan soccer tournament after defeating Laabansi clan 5-2 on penalties at the Yendi Astro turf.
