The FIFA Coach Education Scholarship All-Female CAF Licence C Coaching Course has successfully concluded Module One at the Ghana Football Association Technical Centre, marking another important step in the development of women’s football coaching in Ghana.
The programme, supported by FIFA and organised by the Confederation of African Football in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association, brought together 30 female coaches from different regions of the country
The initiative is aimed at equipping participants with modern coaching knowledge, technical expertise, and leadership skills to help improve women’s football at all levels. Throughout Module One, participants underwent intensive theoretical and practical training sessions focused on player development, tactical awareness, match analysis, and coaching methodology. The course also provided an opportunity for the coaches to interact, share experiences, and build professional networks within the football fraternity.
Officials from the GFA Technical Directorate praised the commitment, discipline, and enthusiasm displayed by the participants during the opening phase of the programme. They reiterated the association’s commitment to empowering more women to take up leadership and technical roles in football.
The FIFA Coach Education Scholarship initiative forms part of broader efforts to increase female representation in coaching and strengthen the technical capacity of women involved in the sport across Africa. The participants are expected to return for the next module as they continue their journey toward obtaining the prestigious CAF Licence C certification.
