Former Finance Minister and MP for Karaga Mohammed Amin Adam(Anta) has been named as a Ranking Member of the Finance Committee in Parliament.
Bolga Central MP, Isaac Adongo will be chairing the Committee giving his knowledge of economics and accounting background with Hon. Richard Acheapong as the Deputy Chair.
While Gideon Boako, MP for Tano North, another fine brain in economics is made a deputy Ranking Member for the Committee.
Other Members who will be serving on the Finance committee include Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Atta Issah, Dr. Kabiru Mahama, and Member of Parliament for Walewale.
About 19 members in total will be serving on the Finance Committee in Parliament.
Mohammed Amin Adam comes with a lot of experience and expertise in economics and energy having founded ACEP, a Titank delving into energy issues.
Before serving as Minister of State at the Finance Ministry he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Energy in the first era of Akufo-Addo-led administration.
After 3 years into Akufo-Addo Addo’s last term, he was elevated to the Finance Minister Position, ending his tenure by heading the Finance Ministry.
