‎Ghana national football team have been placed in Group C for the qualifiers of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, where they will face regional rivals Ivory Coast national football team, alongside Gambia national football team and Somalia national football team.

‎The draw sets up an exciting qualification campaign for Ghana as the four-time African champions aim to secure a return to the continent’s biggest football competition after failing to qualify for the previous edition in Morocco.

‎The 2027 AFCON tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with the finals scheduled to run from June 10 to July 17, 2027.

‎In total, 48 nations have been drawn into 12 groups of four teams each, with the top two teams from every group advancing to the 24-team tournament.

‎Although the three host countries already have automatic qualification for the finals, they will still participate in the qualifying series, adding an extra layer of competition to the campaign.

‎According to the Confederation of African Football, the qualifiers will be played across three international windows: September 21 to October 6, November 9 to 17, and March 22 to 30 next year. Each team is expected to play two matches during every window.
