The government is set to cut the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern multi-purpose Astro turf in Savelugu on October 15th, marking a significant milestone in the district’s sports infrastructure development.
This exciting project was revealed by Hajia Ayishetu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Savelugu, in an exclusive interview with Alhassan S Suhiyini on ZANGALI 106.1fm.
The upcoming Astro turf in Savelugu will offer improved sports facilities, increased opportunities for youth development, and potentially host regional and national sports events.
This project aligns with the government’s goal of providing infrastructure for sporting activities, as emphasized by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. Mustapha Ussif.
With this new Astro turf, Savelugu is poised to become a hub for sports development, inspiring the next generation of athletes and fostering community engagement.
