Dagbani Movie Producer and Director, Abdul Basit Kulchiri has been busted by Tamale Anti-drug taskforce in connection with illicit drug trade, a canker that has eroded moral fibre in the Dagbon society including increasing mental illness among the youth.
In a video circulating on social media, Basit Kulchiri is seen fumbling in response to questions about his role involving the sale of the hard substances, endangering the lives and future of the youth.
The movie producer also had his hairs being embarrassingly shaved in the video with members of the taskforce expressing disappointment with his involvement of the social canker in Dagbon.
Kulchiri is not new from controversy as his monologue on Dagbon Radio as then a presenter landed him into trouble after badmouthing in the mysterious killing of two children in Kakpagyili, accusing Mba Madaha of being a mastermind behind the death of the children.
A court in Tamale found him guilty in defamation suit filed by Afa Madaha, fining him to pay whooping sum as compensation for defaming the complainant who had his house burnt and some items stolen from it.
Information reaching Ghananewsnet.com indicate that upon his arrest by the anti-drug taskforce he was whisked to the Gukpe Naa Palace for possible sanctions.
