Real Tamale United RTU started the 2024/25 Ghana Division One League on a high note, defeating Wa Sore Nante fc at home to secure maximum points in opener.
The match, held at the Abu Jinapo Astro turf in Yapei saw, the former Premier League outfit defeat debutants Wa Sore Nante fc on Sunday afternoon.
RTU, led by coach Isaac Sarfo Castro, showcased determination and resilience to secure a deserved 5-0 victory over their opponent to mark a brilliant start to Access Bank Division One League campaign.
Goals from Rashid Abdulai, Wisdom Jonas, Jabab Magan, Blabala, with Gilbert Wiafe(o.g) was enough for the host to snatch victory in the thrilling encounter.
Though, the visited grew stronger in the game especially in the second department but could not reduce the deficit in a soaky rain at Yapei
Nonetheless, Coach Isaac Sarfo Castro side maintained their composure and stayed compact for a win, RTU midfielder Samuel Lamptey as named the MVP player after excellent display on the afternoon.
With this result, RTU look poised to push for Ghana Premier League return.
