Dr. Bawumia Makes Key Appointments to His Personal Office‎

‎Former Vice President and the 2028 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced a series of strategic appointments to his personal office aimed at strengthening his political, policy, communication, and organizational operations.



‎The appointments bring together seasoned politicians, policy experts, communicators, and party strategists who are expected to play critical roles in supporting Dr. Bawumia’s activities and engagements.

‎Leading the team is former Majority Leader and veteran legislator, Hon. Osei-Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, who has been appointed Chief of Staff. His extensive experience in governance and parliamentary affairs is expected to provide strategic leadership and coordination within the office.

‎Former Member of Parliament for Suhum, Frederick Opare-Ansah, has been tasked with overseeing identifiable activities, while former National Chairman of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu, assumes responsibility as Director in Charge of Political Strategy.

‎Former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, Fred Oware, has been appointed Political Advisor, bringing years of political and administrative experience to the role.

‎In the area of communication and public engagement, former Managing Director of the State Transport Corporation (STC) and seasoned communicator, Nana Akomea, will serve as Director in Charge of Communication and Branding. He is expected to spearhead efforts to shape and promote Dr. Bawumia’s public image and messaging.

‎Former Minister for Information and Ofoase-Ayirebi MP, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has been appointed to coordinate policy-related activities and initiatives, ensuring coherence in policy development and communication.

‎Meanwhile, former Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and former NPP Youth Organizer, Hon. Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, will oversee organization and youth inclusion, a role expected to strengthen grassroots engagement and youth participation.

‎Completing the team is Dr. Ekua Amoakoh, who has been appointed spokesperson for Dr. Bawumia. She will serve as the principal voice of the former Vice President, managing media relations and public communications.

‎Political observers say the appointments signal Dr. Bawumia’s determination to maintain an active presence in national discourse while strengthening preparations for future political engagements.

‎The newly constituted team combines experience in governance, party organization, policy formulation, communications, and youth mobilization, reflecting a broad-based approach to supporting Dr. Bawumia’s vision and activities in the years ahead.
