FC Samartex 1996 report Kotoko to Ghana Football Association

FC Samartex 1996 has officially reported an incident to the Ghana Football Association where their team bus was stoned by Asante Kotoko supporters after a match at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

The incident occurred after FC Samartex lost 1-0 to Asante Kotoko, with Albert Amoah scoring the decisive goal in the 31st minute

The bus, carrying officials and players, was attacked as it left the stadium, prompting FC Samartex management to take action.

They acknowledged the concerns of their supporters and assured them that the club will address their grievances through proper channels.

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed receiving the complaint and promised to take necessary actions in line with their rules and regulations once the Prosecutor’s investigation is complete.

This incident highlights tensions between fans and teams in Ghana’s football league. FC Samartex has had significant success, including a historic win in Cameroon in their maiden CAF Champions League appearance .
