Former Medeama sc striker Hans Kwofie reported dead after fatal accident

Former Medeama sc and a one time Ghana Premier League top scorer, Hans Kwofie, tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on Friday afternoon near Dadwen, close to Tarkwa in Ghana’s Western Region.

The incident involved a vehicle reportedly owned by Samuel Nzemaba, a former defender for Ghanaian football giants Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, according to initial reports from the scene.

Hans Kwofie, aged just 35, leaves behind a notable legacy in Ghanaian football, having played for various esteemed clubs including Ashanti Gold, Medeama, Smouha in Egypt, Bechem United, and Legon Cities.

His standout achievement came in 2017 when he clinched the Ghana Premier League Golden Boot, scoring an impressive 17 goals for Ashanti Gold.

News of Kwofie’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through the football community in Ghana, with tributes pouring in for his skill and dedication to the sport.
