Arsenal’s Dynamic Midfielder, Thomas Partey, has been named Ghana Men’s Footballer of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards held last night in Accra, following a sterling performance for club and country this season.
He beat off competition from colleague Black Stars Players, Inaki Williams, and Antoine Semenyo to scoop the award.
Thomas Partey becomes the only player to have won the awards three consecutive times having won the previous two editions.
Doris Boaduwaa, who plays for Hapoel Jerusalem, also won the Women’s Player of the Year award for his outstanding performances for both club and country.
She scored 18 goals and 4 assists in 26 games this season for her club. Thomas Partey also has a good season for Arsenal, helping the club reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Sudanese Coach, James Akwasi Appiah was also named best Ghanaian Coach of the season.
