‎Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC has officially appointed Serbian coach Nebojsa Kapor as the club’s new Head Coach on a two-year contract as part of a major rebuilding project ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

‎The appointment, announced in a statement on Saturday, follows what the club described as an extensive recruitment process aimed at restoring the Phobians to domestic success and continental prominence.

‎Coach Kapor arrives with significant experience in Ghanaian football. A UEFA-licensed coach, he has previously managed Tema Youth FC, Bechem United FC, and Medeama SC, earning recognition for his tactical expertise, progressive coaching philosophy, and commitment to youth development.

‎According to Hearts of Oak, Kapor’s emphasis on disciplined, attacking football aligns with the Board’s long-term vision of building a competitive team capable of reclaiming the club’s status at the summit of Ghanaian and African football.

‎The club also disclosed that Kapor’s appointment marks the first of several technical appointments expected in the coming weeks as preparations intensify for the new season.

‎”The Board is confident Coach Kapor has the leadership and technical competence to lead Hearts of Oak into a new era of stability and success,” the statement said, while calling on the club’s supporters to unite behind the new coach and technical team.

‎Hearts of Oak concluded the announcement by welcoming Kapor to the club and expressing optimism that his arrival signals the beginning of a new chapter for the record Ghana Premier League champions.
