Accra, Ghana – July 15, 2026 – Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has dismissed reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Phobians described the reports circulating in the media and on social media as “false and without factual basis.”
According to the club, no transfer fee or asking price has been placed on the Black Stars shot-stopper, and no individual or media outlet has been authorised to communicate any valuation on behalf of Hearts of Oak.
The club, however, acknowledged that as a professionally run football institution, it remains open to receiving and considering offers that are in the best interests of both Benjamin Asare and the club. It stressed that no official valuation has been communicated at this stage, making any figures currently in circulation purely speculative.
Hearts of Oak also called on journalists, supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard unverified reports concerning the goalkeeper’s transfer value. The club urged media organisations to verify information through its official communication channels before publication.
Management further expressed pride in Benjamin Asare’s achievements, congratulating him on his outstanding performances on the international stage during the FIFA World Cup. The club reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the goalkeeper’s continued development while safeguarding the integrity of its operations.
The statement was signed by the management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club.
