From Bayenwaya’s quiet cradle he rose,
Where dreams sprout in humble soil,
Born of Woribogu’s strength and Wayamba’s grace, A northern son with a national toil.

He walked the dusty paths of Kulikuli Primary School, Learned beneath Navrongo Secondary’s restless sun, Through Tamale Secondary School’s firm rule,And in the halls of the University of Ghana, Legon, his journey was won.

Patience shaped his promise’s frame,
Purpose whispered his secret name,
Through time’s long corridor he came,
A servant of destiny’s steady flame.

In Tamale South Constituency, his people call, Six terms they crowned their steadfast son, He sits not merely in Parliament’s hall,
But in the conscience of everyone.

Trade and Industry felt his hand,
Communications bore his guiding light,
Employment and Labour knew his stand,
Now Education shines urnder his sight.

Yet humble still, the man remains,
A neighbour’s friend, a boy of the lane,
He smiles through jest, through mockery’s rain, The “area boy” with a heart humane.

They say he charmed the Speaker’s seat,
With wit and courage, calm and neat,
First of his kind to make that feat,
Where grace and strategy would meet.
His kindness travels far and wide,
Beyond the north, beyond the tide,
A hand that lifts, a heart that gives,
In every region his spirit lives.

But whispers rise in chambers high,
Of reach too long, of power nigh,
“A necessary evil,” critics cry,
“Whose absence none can justify.”

Still, like Jimmy Carter’s quiet quest,
He walks the road where dreams are blessed, Where destiny and duty rest,
Upon the shoulders of the best.

The winds now stir, the whispers grow,
A greater call begins to show,
Ghana may look north once more,
To find the leader she longs to know.
