Another Son of the land, Ibrahim Murtala Mohamed, MP for Tamale Central has received a nomination from President Mahama as the Minister Designate for Environment Science and Technology.
His name is contained in a list of ministers released by the presidency and signed by the acting Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofusu.
His nomination follows the nomination of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu by President John Mahama to the Education Ministry, who was vetted yesterday by the appointment committee.
Meaning, that the two sons of the North have earned recognition of the president having sacrificed enough for the party contributing to their gigantic victory in the 2024 elections.
Hon. Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim previously served as the Deputy Minister for Information and Media Relations and the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry under the Mills and Mahama government.
Meanwhile, the MP for Tamale North, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, who was expected to receive a nomination in the batch of ministerial nominees released has missed out on the list.
