NPP to Elect National Officers on September 19, Invites Constitutional Amendment Proposals
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will hold its National Delegates Conference on Saturday, September 19, 2026, during which delegates from across the country will elect the party’s national officers.

In a statement dated July 8, 2026, and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party said the date was fixed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and subsequently approved by the National Council at their respective meetings held on June 25, 2026.

According to the statement, the election of national officers will be conducted in accordance with Article 10(1) of the party’s constitution.

Ahead of the conference, the General Secretary, acting under Article 19(2) of the party’s constitution, has invited party members and stakeholders to submit proposals for amendments to the constitution.

The NPP said all proposed amendments should be submitted to the Office of the General Secretary at the party’s national headquarters or sent electronically via nppconstitutionalamendment@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 17, 2026.

The party encouraged members and stakeholders to take advantage of the constitutional review process by submitting proposals aimed at strengthening the party’s structures, enhancing its internal democratic processes, and promoting effective governance.

The statement further reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to constitutionalism, internal democracy, and the rule of law as it prepares for the National Delegates Conference, emphasizing its dedication to upholding the party’s constitution and democratic traditions.
