NRFA Supports Dakpemah Ladies and Nasara Ladies Ahead of GFA Women’s Championship Playoffs

The Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA), Alhaji Abu-Hassan Rhyzo, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, donated financial and logistical support to Dakpemah Ladies and Nasara Ladies ahead of the upcoming GFA Regional Women’s Championship playoffs in Tamale.

‎On behalf of the NRFA, Alhaji Rhyzo presented GHC1,000, four boxes of Awake Mineral Water, and two boxes of Yazz sanitary pads to each club as part of efforts to support the teams’ preparations for the competition.

‎In addition, the NRFA Chairman pledged a winning bonus of GHC500 for each victory recorded by the clubs during their five playoff matches.

‎Nasara Ladies and Dakpemah Ladies are the two teams representing the Northern Region in the championship, which serves as qualification for the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League next season.

‎The Northern Zone playoffs are scheduled to commence on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, where participating clubs will battle for promotion to the top flight of women’s football in Ghana.

‎Dakpemah Ladies will open their campaign against Upper West champions Chewia Ladies, while Nasara Ladies will take on tournament favorites Supreme Ladies from Kumasi as they seek to secure qualification after four unsuccessful attempts in previous years.

NRFA Chairman Congratulates Steadfast FC, Presents GHC10,000 to the team

Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzos has congratulated Steadfast FC following their qualification to the Division One League after an emphatic 3-1 victory over Northern Zaytuna FC in the final of the Northern Regional Division Two League played at Salaga Astro Turf on Saturday, 9th May, 2026.

Following the triumph, the NRFA Chairman presented a Giant trophy, 30 gold medals, and 10,000 Ghana Cedis to Steadfast FC as their prize money in recognition of their dominance.

As Runners-up, Zaytuna FC also received 5,000 Ghana Cedis from the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo.

In a post on Facebook, Alhaj Abu Hassan Razos, acknowledged their efforts, congratulating the team for emerging as champions of the Division Two League.

Steadfast FC Presents Division Two Trophy to Haruna Iddrisu

‎Newly crowned Division Two champions, Steadfast FC, on Saturday, May 9, presented their championship trophy to the club’s bankroller, Haruna Iddrisu, following their impressive victory over Northern Zaytuna in the Division Two final.

‎Steadfast FC secured a convincing 3-1 win against Northern Zaytuna at the Salaga Astro Turf in the East Gonja Municipality to emerge champions and seal their return to the Access Bank Division One League Zone 1A.

‎After the triumph, the club’s management, technical team, and players presented a giant trophy to Haruna Iddrisu in recognition of his continuous support and commitment to the team.

‎The Minister for Education, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, praised the players and technical staff for their determination and outstanding performance throughout the campaign.

‎Haruna Iddrisu, widely known for his passion and support for football development, expressed his delight over the club’s achievement and congratulated the entire team for their successful campaign in Salaga.

‎The victory marks a significant milestone for Steadfast FC as they prepare for life once again in the Division One League.

‎Haruna Iddrisu Steadfast Returns To Access Bank DOL ‎

Haruna Iddrisu’s Steadfast FC has secured promotion back to the Access Bank Division One League after defeating Northern Zaytuna FC 3-1 in the Northern Regional Division Two League playoff match played at Salaga in the East Gonja Municipality.

‎Steadfast FC opened the scoring in the 13th minute when star striker Kahmahene curled a beautiful free kick into the bottom-left corner. Abdul Mumin doubled the lead in the 27th minute to give the Sawali boys a comfortable advantage.

‎Northern Zaytuna FC pulled one back before halftime after referee Ayaaba awarded a penalty following a foul in the box. Osman stepped up and calmly converted from six yards.

‎Abdul Mumin grabbed his second goal of the match in the 65th minute to seal a convincing 3-1 victory for Steadfast FC.
