The national sports authority Tamale, has on Monday 27/05/2024 held a media engagement with some selected sports Journalists in Tamale.
The meeting was also offered the authority the opportunity to formally introduced the new director of sports for the region Mr. Iddrisu Ahmed Bediako to the sports Journalist who was appointed three months ago.
The northern regional director of NSA Tamale Mr. Ahmed Bediako, in his welcome address thanked the media for honouring the invitation of the authority at a very short notice, he also apologized to media for not holding such engagement earlier, but said it was deliberate.
Mr. Bediako added that he arrived at a time the Aliu Mahama sports stadium was on a stand still, so he needed to have put soo many things in place in before holding the media engagements.
”’We can’t achieve our objectives as an authority without the support of the media, and the Aliu Mahama sports stadium have been in the news for wrong reasons we want to changed that narratives ”
”One of the things I needed to fix immediately was the power situation, because the facility was disconnected from the national grid so we work so hard with the support of individuals to get full electricity supply to the stadium”
Mr. Ahmed added the grass at pitch will soon be ready for football related activities, as they had applied fertilizer and start replanting of the grass on the pitch.
