The President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama paid a surprise visit to Black Stars players at their training grounds at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, 19th March 2025.
The visit is intended to motivate the team including the playing body, technical bench, and other components of the team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Chad on Friday 21st March 2025.Before flying to Morocco on Monday, March 24 to play Madagascar.
In a Facebook post, the president of GFA, Kurt Okraku expressed delight over the surprise visit by the president.
“This evening, I had the special honor of welcoming his excellency, President John Mahama, when he paid a surprise visit to our Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium. He assured the players and technical staff of the support of the Nation”.
During the visit, the president was in company with the Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, Randy Abbey, and the GFA president. Among other officials.
