Students of Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School are appealing to authorities to rehabilitate the Boys’ dormitory block that has been wrecked with havoc following a rainstorm.
According to the students, the roof of the upper floor of the Boys’ dormitory has been ripped off and can no longer accommodate them, particularly in this rainy season, compelling the students to evacuate and join their colleagues on the lower floor for abode, causing serious congestion.
On Sunday, 15th June 2025, the Boys dormitory of the Tamale Islamic Science Senior High School were ripped off following a heavy rainstorm.The dormitory block which is one storey building is accommodating several hundreds of students in the school.
This follows a wash away of the school’s fence wall a few weeks ago following a heavy downpour.
In this light, the students bemoan the storm that has hit them hard in the face and appeal to the authorities to come to their aid by rehabilitating the entire Boys’ dormitory to ease the overcrowding menace.
On his part, the headmaster of the school also decries the situation and calls on relevant authorities to come to the rescue of the students by eliminating the accommodation crisis facing the boys in the school.
