Samuel Lamtey, RTU’s talented midfielder, was awarded the inaugural Kurugu Zugu Player of the Month award for September/October.
This recognition comes from the vibrant supporters group, Kurugu Zugu Supporters Union, who pledged to honor outstanding players to boost team morale and performance
Lamtey’s impressive skills, dedication, and leadership on the pitch earned him this prestigious award.
He demonstrated exceptional prowess in protecting the back four of the former premier league side, Way’Una , his outstanding performance also earned him two Man of the Match (MOTM) awards in his last four appearances.
The award presentation took place during RTU’s thrilling 4-2 victory against Wa Power SC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
Northern regional director of sports, Mr. Ahmed Iddrisu, presented Lamtey with a beautiful plaque and 500ghc as a token of appreciation for his hard work .
This award is a testament to Lamtey’s value to the team and will surely motivate him to continue delivering exceptional performances.
