Real Tamale United-RTU has mutually terminated the contract of Head coach Abdulai Abdul Mumin following defeat at home to Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.
The club announced the termination of his contract on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, following allegations of match-fixing levelled against him, which have infuriated some fans.
The club said the termination of his contract is in line with his safety as some fans feel upset over his alleged conduct which saw them losing 2-1 to Nsoatreman FC at home on Sunday.
“Real Tamale United has mutually terminated its contract with Coach Mumin Abdulai. The decision was motivated by concerns raised over the safety of the coach in the discharge of his duties.
“Management takes this opportunity to thank Coach Mumin for his services whilst at the club and wishes him well in his future endeavour.”
The team will now be led by assistant coach Iddi Mansah.Meanwhile, the club has rubbished reports of match-fixing in the media space.
“The general public is also entreated to disregard any media publications about match fixing allegations against Coach Mumin.”
RTU are bottom of the Ghana premier league after 27 games, losing 16 matches , with seven wins and four draws have earned them 25 points this season, with 7 games to end the season.
