The Chief Executive Officer of Yendi-based Sankara Nationals FC, Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, has visited FC Andorra’s training facilities at Gimnàstic Parc in Manresa, Barcelona, Catalonia, as part of efforts to explore opportunities for football development and talent advancement.
According to Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, the visit forms part of exploratory engagements with established players within the football industry, with a focus on identifying opportunities that could contribute to the development of young football talents in Ghana.
He said the broader objective is to create pathways and opportunities for emerging Ghanaian talents to develop their abilities and gain exposure within the international football environment, while keeping Sankarayili at the heart of the initiative.
The engagement comes at an important period for Sankara Nationals FC, who are preparing to begin their 2026/2027 UMB Division One League campaign.
The Yendi-based side will open their league account against RTU on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Yendi Youth Resource Centre.
The encounter is expected to mark the beginning of Sankara Nationals’ latest campaign as they seek a strong start to the new season.
With the club’s leadership simultaneously exploring international football development opportunities, the engagements in Spain could form part of a broader vision to strengthen the club’s contribution to youth development and create greater opportunities for young footballers in the region and Ghana.
