NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Savelugu Constituency, Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz has commissioned mechanized boreholes for Six(6) Communities in the Savelugu Municipality.
The commissioning of the water projects forms part of her commitment to ensuring access to potable water for all the communities in the Municipality as well as reducing the burden of women who trek long distances in search of potable drinking water.
The beneficiary communities of the water projects include Yilikpani, Nyoglo, Pon-Tamale, Gushee, Diare (Lagos), and Diare (Nayilifong).
Hajia Fatahiya’s efforts complement her free water initiative under which she consistently supplies water to constituents, aimed at solving their water needs which has become an outstanding issue of the people for decades.
The 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Savelugu Constituency visited the communities in company with the MCE for the area along with Constituency Executives to commission the water projects.
Inhabitants of the communities expressed their joy and gratitude to Hajia for addressing the critical needs of the people by providing them with water even though she is not given the mandate yet to lead constituents.
Community Members further acknowledged that Her proactive efforts and dedication to solving their problems have not gone unnoticed and pledged to give him the mandate on the December 7th, 2024 elections.
