Sheikh Bayaan reunites with his prodigal son

Published on March 3 2025

The Congregants gathered at the Masjidul Bayan today, Monday 3rd March 2025, were greeted with joy and excitement as the Renowned and learned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Iddrisu Ibrahim Basha(Sheikh Bayaan) reunited with his son Sheikh Abu Dhijana following the reported strained relationship in the lead up to the 2024 elections.

In a viral video on social media, Abu Dhijana walked in the direction of his father to share pleasantries with him after the climax of Day 1 Tafseer by the latter.

The positive scene created eyeballs in the duo, prompting some Congregants not to let it slide but to capture the good moments that strengthen family ties, sharing bonds and a sense of belongingness akin to the adage saying that ‘Blood is thicker than water’.

This follows a parallel view shared on the candidature of the NPP Presidential Candidate and NDC Presidential Candidate going into the 2024 General Elections.

Abu Dhijana became an NDC activist and overtly canvassed for support for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama including donating to the party to boost campaign activities. Sheikh Bayaan, his father seemed to have tilted his support to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s candidacy through his sermons.

Even way before the peak of the electioneering campaign, Abu Dhijana seized the moment of Celebration of Eidul-Adha at Kulikuli School to declare his support and love for NDC, asserting that he would use his might and available resources to campaign for the NDC to win back power.

These happenings among others reportedly ruined his ties with his revered father, fueling speculations that they are at loggerheads and do not see each other an eye for an eye.

However, the sharp turn of events with the father and son seen sharing pleasantries in public has put to rest seemingly friction between them.
