Tamale City’s impressive unbeaten streak in the Division One League has finally come to an end on Saturday at Wa Power Sc
They suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wa Power FC in their match week 10 encounter, marking their first loss of the 2024/2025 season.
Prior to this defeat, Tamale City had been on a roll, winning 8 games and drawing 1 in their previous 9 matches.
This stellar performance had propelled them to the top of the Division 1 Zone 1A table with 25 points.
Despite the setback, Tamale City still maintains their position at the top of the league table, albeit on goal difference, as they’re now tied with Real Tamale United, who convincingly beat Yapie FC 3-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The stage is set for an intense competition between Tamale City and Real Tamale United in the Division One League Zone 1A.
Tamale City will look to bounce back from this defeat when they host Northern City next weekend
