A grinding Mill Operator in Zogbeli, a suburb of Tamale, has impregnated a 12-year-old girl in the community.
The Man who is identified as Mba Abukari and believed to be in his 50s is frequently engaged in sexual intercourse with the toddler, called Saude, whenever she is sent an errand by the Guardian to mill maize for Porridge.
This came to light when Saude tested positive for Pregnancy, carrying a 4-month-old baby in her belly following suspicion by her house people.
According to residents close to where the grinding Mill is sited, they admit seeing the minor more often hanging around the place with the man at odd hours, but never has it crossed their minds that he was allegedly abusing the girl sexually, stressing the girl’s innocence considering her age.
The residents alleged that the man may have been sleeping with the little girl inside the establishment of the Grinding Mill at their blind side, especially when everyone seemed to have finished milling their grains and left.
When confronted with the pregnancy debacle after Saude confessed to people that she had been impregnated by the MBA Abukari, the latter truly claimed responsibility of the pregnancy, admitting to having several amorous intercourses with the girl including having crazy styles like doggy style, sitting on the laps, and normal missionary styles with the Minor.
Saude is not a native of Zogbeli but from Sankapagla in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region and was given to a Porridge Seller in Zogbeli, Madam Saude by her parents for grooming and training on the production of Porridge. However, things did not pan out as planned as the Grinding Mill Operator obstructed the child’s goals.
Speaking to Ghananewsnet, the Guardian, Madam Saude expressed her frustrations over the issue, hinting at reporting the matter to the Police for the law to take its due course.
The laws of Ghana frown upon someone having sexual intercourse with a child who is below sixteen(16) years old. It is a prohibited act known in the law as defilement, a crime Mba Abukari believed to have committed, deserving of punitive punishment.
