Tamale Super Ladies FC secured their second win of the 2024/2025 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Prison Ladies on Saturday in Week 4 action at the Kulikuli school astro turf in Tamale.
Zakaria Rashida’s (Costa) 75th-minute strike after Saida’s brilliant play set up the decisive goal to sealed super Ladies first ever win at Kulikuli school.
Prison Ladies pushed for the equalizer but the efforts heat a snack after , goalkeeper Farihana received a red card on the 85minutes for handling the ball outside the box, while Haruna Zainab was forced off through injury for super Ladies, after colliding with the opponent goalkeeper in the first half.
This win marks Tamale Super Ladies’ first at the Kulikuli School Astro Turf since adopting the venue last season, and takes them to the 4th position on league standings with 6 points .
In Week 3, Tamale Super Ladies defeated Fosu Royal Ladies 2-1 at the Ohene Ameyaw stadium in Techiman for their first win of season, after losing to Dreamz ladies fc and Supreme ladies respectively in their first two matches.
Coach Najimu’s will hope to build on the momentum from this win ahead of Tamale derby away at Northern Ladies fc .
