UDS Vice Chancellor holds dinner for the school Men’s Football Team

The Vice Chancellor of University for Development Studies, Prof. Al-hassan Seidu has hosted exclusive dinner for UDS’s Men Football Team following historic showing at the World Universities games held in Dalian, China.

The dinner held at his official residence on Tamale-Dungu campus, was aimed at celebrating the players and the technical team for the unprecedented feat chalked at the global stage.

This follows an official welcome given to the team at the forecourt of the University Library upon the team’s arrival from Accra.

The event brought together senior management, Deans and Directors, members of the Governing Council, past UDS football legends, media personalities, executives from the Ghana Journalists Association, Northern Regional Football Association, students from the Nyankpala Campus, Members of Senior Staff Association, Ghana University Administrators Association and the vibrant Union Hall jama group.

The atmosphere was filled with pride, unity, and celebration as UDS community members came together to honor the champions who have placed the university firmly on the world stage.

The UDS Men’s Football Team defeated Paulista University 2-1 at the Final game at FISU games in China to become the first University from Africa to lay hands on the trophy.
