Ursula Owusu joins the race to contest NPP General Secretary position
The Former Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has joined the race for the NPP General Secretary position.
Marking her 61st birthday today, 20th October 2025, she ceased the opportunity to declare her intent to vie for the position, assuring to work hard to reclaim power from the NDC if given the opportunity through the secretary position.
The Former MP of Ablekuma West, prides herself as fighter, Nurtured, proven, and prepared person over the years, ready to work collectively with party folks to recapture power from the current government, which she describes as ‘clueless, insensitive and glaringly incompetent’.
“On this day of my birth, Patriots, I come before you, the fighter you have always known. Nurtured, proven, and prepared, over the years, to join you on this collective journey to rescue our beloved country from this clueless, insensitive, and this glaringly incompetent government”.
Madam Ursula Owusu also underscores the need for unity of purpose and cohesion within the party, which remains her ultimate resolve.
“Across the country and the diaspora, the NPP family comes together as one big family, bound together in unison by the cohesive purpose hinged on an innate desire to re-capture power and do better for ourselves and for mother Ghana. This remains the ultimate resolve of the party. This remains the ultimate resolve of Ghanaians. It remains the ultimate resolve of Ursula Owusu-Ekuful”.
Ursula joins, Sylvester Tetteh, Eugene Boakye Antwi, Justin Frimpong Kodua for the Chief Scribe position of the NPP as part of preparation for the early Primaries towards the 2028 elections.
