Real Tamale United Head Coach, Isaac Kofi Castro has apologized to the supporters of the club following the team’s defeat in the Division One League Playoff against Eleven Wonders culminating in their failure to qualify for the Premier League.
The penultimate game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium saw RTU lose to Eleven Wonders by 2 goals to nil.
Following the outcome, the coach rendered an apology for the inability of the team to qualify as hoped, stating his sincere regret for letting the team down.
In a brief statement, the coach said, “I would like to extend my apologies to all RTU supporters for not being able to secure qualification for RTU as we had all hoped. We sincerely regret letting you down and understand the disappointment this has caused. We humbly ask for your forgiveness, as only Allah knows the full extent of this situation”.
The majority of RTU fans were optimistic about the team’s chances ahead of the playoff against Eleven Wonders given the team’s brilliant campaign in division one but as fate will have it, they were left devastated at the end of the day.
