The Overlord of Dagbon, His Royal Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari II, will pay a royal visit to the president of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, at the seat of Government in Accra at the Jubilee House Tomorrow, Friday 13th June 2025.
The purpose of the iconic visit by the Ya-Na is to congratulate the President for his historic victory in the December 2024, elections. Among other purposes, N-dani Yaa Naa’s visit is also aimed at returning the courtesy to the President after he visited him at the Palace during his ‘thank you’ to the Northern Region a few months ago.
The King is leading a powerful traditional delegation encompassing key traditional leaders across all Paramountcies in the Kingdom including, Paramount Chief of Sagnarigu, Sagnari Naa Ambassador Yakubu Abdulai, the Paramount Chief of Nanton, Naa Natogmah Bawah, the Chief of Kasuli, and the Paramount Chief of Lamashegu, Naa Ziblim Abdulai, among other Paramount chiefs.
The delegation took off for Accra today, Thursday, 12th June 2025, ready to meet the President tomorrow.
Ghananewsnet gathers that about 40 Chiefs are in the company of the Overlord and will be meeting the president in an Open dialogue. While Yaa Naa and some selected Chiefs will again meet the president in-camera after the open meeting.
