Yendi MCE Presents 1,147 Furniture Items to Education Directorate to Improve Learning Environment

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Yendi Mr. Muniru Sugri, has presented a total of 1,147 pieces of school furniture to the Yendi Municipal Directorate of Education to improve teaching and learning across schools in the municipality.
The furniture, officially handed over to the Municipal Director of Education, comprises 577 dual desks, 418 mono desks, 15 sets of tables and chairs for teachers, and 137 kindergarten (KG) furniture sets.
The donation forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to address the shortage of furniture in schools and create a more conducive learning environment for both pupils and teachers.
Speaking during the presentation, the MCE reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting education, describing it as a key driver of the municipality’s development. He noted that the intervention would help reduce the furniture deficit in schools and enhance effective teaching and learning.
The Municipal Director of Education expressed appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for the timely support, stating that the furniture would be distributed to schools with the greatest need to ensure that pupils and teachers benefit from the intervention.
The presentation underscores the Yendi Municipal Assembly’s continued investment in education infrastructure and its commitment to improving access to quality education for children across the municipality.
