In a turn of events, a group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in at the Kasalini Community in the Yendi Constituency have announced their defection to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and pledged their support for the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and the Member of Parliament for Yendi Constituency, Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama. This they did when they paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament at his residence in Yendi
The defectees cited their confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama’s track record as reasons for their decision to switch allegiance.
